We are a family run guest house that has now been offering bed and breakfast within our home for over 23 years.Assembled within an impressive semi-detached Victorian residence, Lakeside is situated on the Abingdon Road which can be followed directly into the City Centre. We are ideally located less than a mile from Oxford City Centre giving convenient access to Oxford's vast attractions. Next-door to us is Hinksey Park perfect for leisurely summer activities which contains an outdoor swimming pool and children's play area.We offer a range of accommodation including single, double, twin and family bedrooms. All our rooms are decorated and furnished to a 4 star standard, as rated by The England Tourist Board. We strive to provide beyond that.Along with our rooms we offer facilities such as off-street parking and wireless internet. Our complimentary breakfast allows a choice of a self service selection of continental style breakfast or a traditional English breakfast cooked to order. How To Find UsLakeside Guest House is located on the Abingdon Road just under a mile south of Oxford City Centre. Look out for our street sign as you approach.Directions by roadOxford is surrounded by a ring road that allows entry from the north, south, east and west. We are most easily accessed by taking the south entrance where you can enter the city via the A4144, continuing straight will put you onto the Abingdon Road where you will find us.Public TransportIf you arrive into the city the X3 - Abingdon bus will take you directly from the station and use the stop at Newton Road which will leave you less than 50 yards from our door. If you arrive via the Gloucester Green coach station you will need to walk south to Bonn Square to catch the X3. Alternatively taxi cabs are readily available from the either station.If you're unfamiliar with Oxford we recommend using Google Maps to plot your journey.
